Sentinel Outdoors – Mission Statement
Across the United States, veterans and first responders face alarming rates of depression, PTSD, and suicide—often two to three times higher than the national average. In Arkansas, these realities hit close to home. The men and women who have stood on the front lines for our communities and our country—veterans, first responders, firefighters, paramedics, and law enforcement officers—carry burdens most will never see, and too often, they face them alone.
Sentinel Outdoors exists to change that reality. We connect these heroes to the healing power of the outdoors through fully guided hunts, trout fishing trips, duck and turkey hunts, and immersive, hands-on conservation projects. These conservation efforts may include waterfowl banding and bird tagging, habitat restoration, food plot planting, invasive species removal, trail maintenance, and stream cleanups—tangible work that strengthens Arkansas’s natural resources while giving participants a sense of purpose, accomplishment, and stewardship.
Our mission is rooted in faith and the belief that the outdoors is more than recreation—it is a place where God’s creation speaks to the heart. Arkansas, the Natural State, offers some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the country, and we see them as both a gift and a tool for healing. From quiet mornings in a duck blind to the stillness of a trout stream or the thrill of a whitetail hunt, these moments are opportunities to reconnect not only with others, but also with the Creator who made us.
By pairing the beauty and abundance of Arkansas’s lands and waters with a supportive peer network, Sentinel Outdoors seeks to restore hope, purpose, and joy to those who have given so much. We believe healing can be found in the fellowship of shared stories around a campfire, in the quiet strength of the woods, and in the reminder that every person has value and a purpose that extends far beyond their service. One hunt, one cast, one sunrise at a time—we will ensure that no Arkansas hero walks alone.
